An ancient ritual that preserves the soul of Rome

In the heart of the Eternal City, among the olive trees of the Colosseum Archaeological Park, a tradition begins that unites history and agriculture. From centuries-old trees preserved within the archaeological park comes “Olio del Colosseo”, a special extra virgin olive oil that tells the story of Rome and is intertwined with the identity of Olio di Roma IGP.

For the occasion, Tiziana Torelli, vice president of the Consorzio Olio di Roma IGP, spoke to RaiNews about the importance of this initiative: a concrete example of how olive oil is not only about taste and well-being, but also culture, identity, and shared heritage.
